Limina/Library/Support

Getting Started

1

Purchase your music

Limina Library works with music you own. Visit musicforbreathwork.com to browse the catalogue, purchase the tracks from BandCamp or Apple Music or another provider, and download them to your Mac.

2

Add your music folder

Click 'Add Folder' in the left panel and select the folder where your Music for Breathwork downloads are stored. Library will scan every audio file and build your catalogue. You can add multiple folders to the Library.

3

Connect your Music for Breathwork account

Click the account icon in the top-right corner and sign in with your Music for Breathwork credentials. This unlocks catalogue matching — your tracks will be matched against the Music for Breathwork library and receive phase tags, audio features, and artist info.

4

Import a playlist (Pro Feature)

Once connected, your Music for Breathwork and if you have a Music for Breathwork pro account your playlists appear in the left panel. Select a playlist to see which tracks you own and which are missing from your local collection.

5

Export to Studio

When you're ready to build a set, drag tracks from Library directly into Limina Mix, or use the export function to send a full playlist. All metadata travels with the files.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add my music to Limina Library?

Click 'Add Folder' in the left panel and select any folder on your Mac. You can also drag a folder from finder into the left folder panel. Library will scan every audio file inside and add them to your catalogue. You can add as many folders as you like.

What audio formats are supported?

Limina Library scans MP3, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, and M4A files.

How does catalogue matching work?

When Library scans a file, it checks the filename, embedded ID3 tags, and duration against the Music for Breathwork catalogue. If a match is found, the track receives the artist name, album, breathwork phase tags, and a full set of audio features. A Music for Breathwork account is required.

Why didn't a track match?

Matching relies on the filename or embedded tags being close to the catalogue entry. Try renaming the file to match the track title exactly, or check that the ID3 tags are correct. Some tracks in personal collections may have been ripped or purchased under alternate titles.

How do I connect my Music for Breathwork account?

Click the account icon in the top-right corner of the app and sign in with your Music for Breathwork credentials. Once connected, your playlists will appear in the left panel under 'Playlists'.

How do I import a playlist from Music for Breathwork?

Connect your Music for Breathwork account, then select a playlist from the left panel. Library will cross-reference your local collection against the playlist — matched tracks appear ready to use, unmatched tracks are flagged as missing.

Do I need to purchase the music to use Library?

Yes. Limina Library works with music you already own — files you have purchased and downloaded from any music download provider.s The app matches your local files to the catalogue; it does not stream or provide the audio itself.

How do I send a track to Limina Mix?

Drag any track from the file list directly into an open Limina Mix session. The audio file and all its metadata travel with it.

Can I remove a folder from Library?

Right-click the folder in the left panel and choose Remove Folder. The files are removed from your catalogue but the originals on disk are untouched.

What is the waveform preview?

Click the play icon next to any track to open the player bar at the bottom of the window. It shows a colour-coded waveform you can click to seek. Use the transport controls to play, pause, skip between tracks, and shuffle.

Troubleshooting

Tracks aren't matching to the catalogue

Make sure your Music for Breathwork account is connected (account icon, top right). If it's connected but tracks still aren't matching, check that the filename or embedded tags match the catalogue title. You can also try re-scanning a folder by removing it and adding it again.

Playlist shows all tracks as missing

Library looks for local files that match the playlist. If none match, it usually means the music hasn't been downloaded yet, or the files are in a folder that hasn't been added to Library. Add the folder containing your Music for Breathwork downloads and re-sync.

Phase tags aren't showing on some tracks

Phase tags only appear on tracks that have been matched to the Music for Breathwork catalogue. Unmatched tracks won't have tags. Check that your account is connected and the track has a match.

Waveform preview isn't loading

Waveform generation runs in the background the first time a track is opened. If it's taking a long time, the audio file may be very long or the format may be slow to decode. Try closing and reopening the player bar.

App won't open on macOS — 'damaged' or 'unidentified developer'

Right-click the app in Finder, choose Open, then click Open again in the dialog. If you see a 'damaged' message, open Terminal and run: xattr -cr /Applications/Limina\ Library.app — then try opening again. You only need to do this once.
